Welcome to DeepFocus HQ! This guide will help you learn how to use the app. Open it anytime with the Tutorial button above your task list.
Click the "Add New Task" button on the left side. Give your task a name (like "Math Homework") and set how many minutes you want to focus. You can also add a deadline if needed!
After adding a task, click Start next to it. Then press Start on the center timer to begin focusing.
If you get distracted, use I got distracted. Choose what pulled you away, then follow the short guided reset (recovery timer at the top). Tap Back to work when you're ready—recovery time is saved for Insights.
When you finish a focus session, you can rate how well you focused (1–5 stars) and choose what helped you focus, like quiet space or music. That data powers your reports.
Use View Insights in the top navigation for distractions, focus helpers, productivity trends, and coaching in one place.
The right panel shows your daily streak, Focused Today (minutes completed this calendar day, local time), and Total Focused (lifetime). Tap the i next to the label for how the streak is counted.
Earn badges as you use the app. Open Badges in the navigation bar to see what you have unlocked.
Use Settings in the navigation bar to adjust sound and other preferences.
